Once suited up in warm, thick 5mm wetsuits and jackets, your adventure begins! Step into the flowing creek and follow it downstream by scrambling, climbing, and abseiling your way through multiple natural obstacles like volcanic boulders and fresh flowing waterfalls! It’s a physically engaging experience that invites you to step out of your comfort zone and into nature’s playground!

As you move deeper into the canyon, the surrounding bush comes alive with vibrant greenery, the sound of flowing water, and the calls of native birds like the tūī and pīwakawaka. Your experienced and passionate guide will lead the way, keeping you safe, supported, and informed, while sharing fascinating insights into the area’s ecology, geology, and cultural history. You’ll learn about traditional uses of native plants, the volcanic origins of the landscape, and the deep connection this whenua (land) holds.
